What is a randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled clinical study?
It’s the gold standard for clinical studies. In this type of study, researchers divide participants into 2 or more groups. One group receives a placebo (an inactive pill) and another group receives treatment. Double-blind means that neither the researchers nor the participants know who is getting the treatment. This helps ensure that the results are accurate, and that there is as little bias as possible.
